When people ask Judith where she is from she always says New York. But, life really started for her 9 years prior to landing at John F. Kennedy Airport…
Judith Dudley was born in Cluj, Romania. Life was not always easy as she has vivid memories of standing in line for bread, hoping to get some at the end. As a child, she didn’t know anything about video games, skateboards or shopping malls. In Romania, she attended school 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday.
Church consisted of sneaking into a small service held across the street from her house. Hiding behind statues, watching adults kiss all the saints inspired the children to do the same. Once the room was emptied, the children would sneak in and kiss the saints too! That’s all she knew about our awesome God.
Judith’s Mother, always longing for “freedom” decided to escape Communist Romania in 1974. This was no easy task in addition to the fact that her father worked for the government. Judith was never told the plan; how could they trust a secret of this magnitude to a small child? But one day, when she was 5, her Mom went away. Her mother’s journey landed her on the steps of the White House demanding to speak to the President of the United States as a cry for assistance to reunite with her children. If access was not granted she would launch a hunger strike there on the White House steps!
Judith’s plane landed at John F. Kennedy airport in January of 1979. To her astonishment, there were “stores” that had food – all the time!
It was in New York City, at a church on East 87th Street, that Judith was introduced to our one true God, His son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Today she stands in awe daily of His love. She trusts Him implicitly and depends on Him as the provider for all her needs. Intentional to obedience, she accepts His no’s and welcomes His challenges. He truly is the Father she never had. Most of all “I love His sense of humor,” says Judith. Judith is the first to tell you He is number one in her life. But this is evident the moment you meet her.
Judith is far from that little girl in Romania hungry for bread. She is a diligent, vivacious soul that chooses to see the good in others. Judith’s passion for life and people make her the perfect instrument to produce the Amy Dillon Live show. Judith is God’s daughter and she is Souled Out!
